Yano Shuzojo, founded in 1883 in Kunisaki, took its shop name Matsushimaya — and its label Matsu no Tsuyu — from the pine-and-island view that captivated its founder. A small hand-making house, it brews from Oita Hinohikari rice with no added sugar at all, letting the grain's own sweetness lead.
