菊之露
Since 1928 — 宮古島市, Okinawa
Kikunotsuyu Shuzo, founded in 1928 as Nakao Shuzo and renamed in 1965, is Miyako Island's defining awamori house. The name comes from a Chinese tale — a sick mother healed by morning dew drunk from chrysanthemum petals — and the kura chases what it calls awamori's true deliciousness with craftsman stubbornness, from the daily 30-degree to the VIP Gold kusu.
