美しき古里
Since 1948 — 今帰仁村, Okinawa
Nakijin Shuzo, founded in 1948 as Oshiro Shuzo and renamed in 1972, is the only distillery in Nakijin village, near the World Heritage castle ruin. In 1981 it launched the industry's first 20-degree awamori under its Utsukushiki Furusato label — a hit that opened the drink to new drinkers — and it still balances tradition against experiment. Tours are offered.
