鷹来屋
Since 1889 — 豊後大野市, Oita
Hamashima Shuzo, founded in 1889 in Bungo-Ono, took its shop name Takakiya from the hawk that landed on the roof beam at the raising. Since 1997 the fifth-generation owner has brewed as toji under a creed of jiko-jijo — grow it yourself, brew it yourself — farming thirteen hectares of sake rice and pressing everything in a traditional fune. The Sasara tearoom serves visitors 9:00–17:00.
