くろうま
Since 1954 — 西臼杵郡高千穂町, Miyazaki
Kagura Shuzo, based since 1954 in the myth-country of Takachiho, turned from sake to honkaku shochu and built its name on Kurouma — 100% Japanese barley. Its casks sleep inside a disused railway tunnel at the Tunnel no Eki facility, open for visits and shopping; the imo shochu Tenson Korin honours Takachiho's founding myth.
