百年の孤独

Since 1885 — 児湯郡高鍋町, Miyazaki

Kuroki Honten, founded in 1885 in Takanabe, is the house behind Hyakunen no Kodoku (One Hundred Years of Solitude), Nakanaka and Kiroku. Its creed — sake making begins with farming — is lived through its organic farming subsidiary Yomigaeru Daichi no Kai and a circular practice that returns shochu lees to fields as fertiliser and feed. It also runs the Osuzuyama Distillery in the hills.
