Jukai Shuzo was formed in 1985 when five distilleries — each with over a century of history — merged into a cooperative in Kushima. Miyazaki Beni red sweet potatoes and spring water rising on the grounds give a soft, sweetly fragrant pour, and the lees feed livestock in a working circular farm system.
